Who this policy covers

ABSTRACT CONCEPTS INC. operates Joyi. This Policy applies to the Joyi Android app, account support, safety review, and the policy pages available at himiti.app/joyi. Where privacy law uses the term controller or responsible business, ABSTRACT CONCEPTS INC. fills that role for the processing described here.

Adults only

Joyi is for people aged 18 and above. We may process an age declaration, region, account history, reports, and limited verification signals to enforce that rule. A person under 18 must not register or use Joyi.

When we have a reasonable concern that an account belongs to a minor, we may limit access, request proportionate verification, close the account, preserve relevant safety records, and cooperate with an appropriate authority. An age gate cannot guarantee that every user gives truthful information.

Information we may handle

Where advertising is enabled and lawful, information may include Advertising ID, limited device details, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions, consent state, and fraud controls. Google Play may provide us transaction ID, item, currency, purchase status, entitlement, and refund information; it handles sensitive payment credentials and we do not receive a complete card number.

Android permissions and choices

Permissions are requested in context. You may refuse or later revoke a permission through Android settings, although the associated feature may no longer work.

• Camera: video in a one-to-one call or media capture you start.
• Microphone and audio: voice in audio or video calls and voice messages you decide to record.
• Media picker: selecting photos, videos, or audio to share.
• Notifications: calls, messages, account, safety, support, and purchase alerts.
• Network and audio capabilities: delivering sessions, routing sound, and diagnosing reliability.
• Advertising ID: lawful advertising, frequency limits, measurement, and fraud prevention where advertising is used.

Joyi does not intentionally activate your camera or microphone unless you choose a feature that needs it, and does not use camera or microphone content to choose advertisements.

How information is used

We use information to create and secure accounts; provide profiles, messages, selected media, voice messages, and one-to-one calls; deliver account-linked digital items or paid features; maintain and improve service quality; measure permitted advertising; answer support requests; detect fraud, scams, harassment, exploitation, security threats, and illegal content; review reports and appeals; and meet legal, safety, and recordkeeping duties.

Depending on location and context, processing may be based on contract performance, consent, legitimate interests in operating and protecting Joyi, compliance with law, or protection of vital interests.

Sharing and international processing

Information may be shared with a user you choose to contact; providers supporting hosting, authentication, communication, moderation, analytics, support, security, and fraud prevention; Google Play and payment partners; permitted advertising and measurement partners; authorities or qualified safety organizations where law or serious risk requires; and a successor in a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may define certain advertising disclosures as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; where applicable, the choices required by those laws will be provided. Processing may occur outside your country with safeguards where required.

Security, retention, and deletion

Information is kept for no longer than reasonably needed for its purpose, account status, controlled backups, safety and fraud prevention, disputes, and legal obligations. Transaction records follow the applicable accounting or statutory period. Limited safety and enforcement records can remain while needed to prevent repeated abuse or resolve a matter. De-identified information may remain when it no longer reasonably identifies a person.

We use risk-appropriate measures such as access controls, encryption in transit, logging, monitoring, provider review, and incident response. No online service can promise absolute security. See Account Deletion for the in-app and email deletion routes.

Your controls and contact

You can change available profile settings, revoke Android permissions, reset Advertising ID through device settings, report or block another user, and request deletion. Local law may also provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, receive a portable copy, withdraw consent, opt out of qualifying advertising disclosures, appeal, or complain to a privacy authority.
